Hot tub

The floating dispenser in the hot tub contains bromine tablets which are essential for maintenance of water quality. If you remove the dispenser whilst using the hot tub, please ensure you replace it at the end. If bromine levels are allowed to drop too far because the dispenser has been removed, the hot tub may be out of use for up to 24 hours as a result.

Towels provided are for indoor use only - please bring your own towels for the hot tub.

Children must be closely supervised at all times when in or near the hot tub.  Make sure the hot tub cover is securely fastened when the hot tub is not in use.  There is no guarantee that the cover will prevent access to the hot tub.  

 

Do not sit on the hot tub cover – it is not designed to support anyone’s weight, including a child.

 

Please ensure children use the toilet before using the hot tub. Hot tubs are not suitable for children under the age of eight.  

 

Never use the hot tub alone.

 

Turn off all jets and blowers when you have finished using the hot tub.

 

Hot tub water temperature should never exceed 104°F (40°C).  

 

Temperatures between 100°F (38°C) and 104°F (40°C) are considered safe for healthy adults for up to twenty minutes. For children, lower water temperatures are recommended. 

 

Please rinse swimming costumes thoroughly in plain water; washing powder and fabric conditioner can cause foaming of the hot tub.

 

Please use your own shoes or the ‘Crocs’ provided to go to and from the hot tub to avoid debris being transported into the water.

 

Please shower before using the hot tub.  Body lotions, sun creams etc can all reduce the effectiveness of the sanitising chemicals in the hot tub.  

 

Never use glass in / near the hot tub.  We recommend that you do not drink in the hot tub to eliminate the risk of spillage, which can upset the chemical balance in the hot tub and may result in the hot tub needing to be shut down and emptied. If the hot tub needs to be emptied and refilled as a result of misuse then a charge for the work required will be retained from the security deposit.

 

Never allow any electrical appliance (e.g.: telephone, radio, mp3 player, light, etc.) within 3 metres of the hot tub, due to risk of electrical shock.

 

People with infectious diseases, open sores or wounds should not use the hot tub because of the risk of spreading infection.

 

No jumping or diving in the hot tub.  Children should be discouraged from putting their heads under the water.  

 

Please do not use the hot tub before 3 pm as it may have been chemically treated in the morning.
 

If any incidents occur, which adversely affect the water quality requiring additional treatment and / or, draining, cleaning and refilling, during our after your stay, there will be a charge for the work required, which will be retained from the damage deposit. Following refilling, it will take at least 24 hours to bring the hot tub up to temperature.  

 

The property manager and the property owner take no responsibility for any problems or incidents occurred as a direct or indirect result of hot tub usage. Hot tub usage is strictly at your own risk and you should consult your Doctor beforehand if you have any health concerns.
